I put up at least 50 stickers in the past 2-3 days and one larger piece on Alberta that came out pretty well. The phrases for this batch were: don't worry, it will all be over soon; it's okay, no one's looking; and Feel no shame. The overall idea is to present something that at first seems positive or comforting but becomes less so as you read more into it. "It's okay no one's looking" in particular is a comment on what people can get away with in public space and what we give ourselves permission to do when we think we're alone. I wanted to use a personal tone that
would be out of sync with the anonymity of big cities and be almost inappropriate; things you wouldn't say to a stranger. The piece on Alberta (around NE 14th, I think) is literally a personal question, "Is this what you wanted?". There's no real intended topic of inquiry. I'm hoping it's vague enough to be relevant to everyone and personal enough to feel like it's meant for someone or about something in particular.
